In Delhi, most of the women went to wear Salwar kameez or Saree. But nowadays, all of them wear modern dresses like Western dresses. People started following Western culture instead of Indian Culture.

As you can see in the example of your mom, she still wears traditional dresses such as Salwar Kameez or Saree. Well, not only Delhi, I am talking about India our moms wear a traditional dress but we are following the Western culture because the modern generation believes that the Salwar Kameez is outdated and they wear whatever they want to wear such as,

It is a type of dress for women, nowadays people would like to wear salwar kameez on special occasions. It is a traditional dress in India, where the generic term is used to describe the different styles of dresses available nowadays.

And you know what? Salwar is a form of Shalwar that was oriented in Centric Asia, and this fashion was spread to half of Asia as well as the arab world, turkey, as salwar kameez was worn by the Turks empire.

Nowadays women wear salwar kameezes on special occasions as there are different kinds of salwar are invented in India. Most people like the Patiala Salwar kameez because it’s my personal favorite too. 

You can pair it with a traditional women’s jutti, and with a beautiful dupatta, and don’t forget to wear jewelry. If you want to make yourself look more effective then you can wear a Red or Black bindi. You can create a Punjabi look.

Ghagra choli

In Ancient times, the ghagra choli was very famous in Hindu culture, at that time women used to wear the Ghagra choli every day but if we compare it to this generation then people used to wear this outfit on special occasions only.

It is a type of ethnic outfit for women in India. Still, the Ghagra Choli is most famous in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Jammu, and Kashmir. You can create your own look because nowadays there are many defined introduced by many popular designers. 

Saree

Saree is always in trend, women love to wear saree as saree is a type of garment traditionally worn in India, Nepal, Bangladesh, etc. It is a type of unstitched cloth that covers the all body in different-different wear.

In India, there are many different types of sarees such as Bengali saree, Marathi types saree, Bihari types saree, Assam types saree, modern saree, simple saree, silk saree, embroideries saree, and many more.

Men’s Traditional Culture of Delhi

As we mentioned earlier in this article,  nowadays, all of them wear modern dresses like Western dresses. People started following Western culture instead of Indian Culture. And you know what, most of the Delhi men generally wear Sherwani in the traditional form.

As you can see men wear this kind of dress when he was getting engaged or getting married. They especially shop for Engagement dresses. In 19’s men used to wear sherwani all the time but nowadays there are different types of sherwani available in the market.

As we mentioned before about sherwani, it is a type of cloth for men that was famous in South Asia. It is a type of men’s traditional cloth, designed as a long-sleeved outer coat worn by ancient men. 

But nowadays people used to Wear them on their special occasions. As we talked about, now there are many different designs of sherwani which are available in many shops such as Mughlia Sherwani, Indowestern Sherwani, etc.

Mughlia sherwani is the same as normal sherwani the difference is that there is a Mughlia touch, which embodies the sherwani gives the Mughlia touch. This sherwani was famous in the centric Asian side.  Well, this sherwani was made with silk, velvet, muslin, and brocade.

As the name suggests, this sherwani is a mixture of Indo and Western look. Nowadays people usually wear it on their engagement.  It is a type of men’s tradition with western touch cloth, designed as a long-sleeved outer coat worn by toady generation men.
