Top 3 Things to Buy from Lajpat Rai Market

Posted on March 16, 2023

When you go to visit a place or when you go shopping, what is the first thing that you notice? Is it clothes, jewellery or food? I look for bigger things. Haha! Don’t judge me! I am not a gold digger. But what is the point of visiting the Lajpat Rai market if you are not buying bigger things?

I love speakers, smartphones or anything related to tech. You won’t believe it, but I went to Lajpat Rai Market with my parents, and I didn’t want to buy anything at that time. But, oh my god! It was heaven for me!

Brand new electronics and so many options to choose from. I almost screamed there. My father laughed, and he said that we were going to buy a smart TV. I was like on top of the clouds.

The best thing about this market is that the prices are wholesale. Everything was good, we bought the TV and had a great dinner and then went back home. It was a wholesome experience.

Well, I bought some cute suits too! A lot of people think that the Lajpat Rai market is all about electronics, but it is actually a lot more. So, let’s see what I explored.

Electronics:

Number one on the list is electronic shops. They are so fine. As we went to buy a TV, we went to bigger shops. But when I visited the little ones, they had more beautiful things to explore.

I looked at the speakers, and one of the shopkeepers gave me a warm smile and assisted me so that I could buy one. The sound was awesome, and then I asked for warranties and all.

You won’t believe it was a wholesale shop, but they agreed to buy one piece for me.

Clothes:

I love wearing suits and those big jhumkas. We were about to go to the Sarojini Market, but my father told me that I could only explore there. I did; the majority of the shops had a pretty good collection.

Obviously, in front of Chandni Chowk or Sarojini, it was nothing, but it wasn’t bad either. I bought a good pair of suits, and I was happy.

Food:

I’m a foodie, and I just can’t help but explore the local food. So, I saw some people who crossed us talking about the famous chole bhature. I was about to ask them, but they were in a hurry.

I then asked a shopkeeper, and he told us the way to that shop. Hmm, it was absolutely delicious!

Final Words

I know, I sound like a 10-year-old girl. But it is not my fault; Delhi is really amazing. Whenever I go shopping, I just start behaving like a kid. Starting from dates in Khan Market to bargaining till my last breath in Sarojini, my life has been a roller coaster ride here.

Why don’t you join me someday? It would be fun!
