A tragic night on the Dwarka Expressway turned deadly when a road accident claims life of doctor. The victim, 37-year-old Deep Narayan, an ayurveda doctor from Palam Vihar, was traveling with two friends late on Sunday when their Scorpio SUV lost control and struck a divider.
The crash took place near New Palam Vihar around 11:30 PM. Deep sat in the back seat while his friend Kamal drove and Rahul occupied the front passenger seat. The SUV, moving at high speed, veered off and slammed into the divider near pillar numbers 58-59.
Both Kamal and Rahul escaped with minor injuries because the airbags deployed quickly. Deep, however, suffered severe head injuries. His friends rushed him to a nearby hospital, but doctors declared him dead shortly after arrival.
ASI Sanjeet Kumar confirmed that the Scorpio was completely destroyed. Police have launched an investigation to find the exact cause of the crash.
