Rashtrapati Bhavan

Rashtrapati Bhavan Delhi: From the 320 Rooms to the Garden

Posted on March 2, 2023

Rashtrapati Bhavan is one of the most attractive places in Delhi. Have you heard of the word tourist attraction? Rshatrapati is one of the biggest tourist attractions in India. I went there 2 years ago, and I was wonderstruck.

I know a lot of people might be wondering what is so special about this place; after all, it is just the house of the president. Exactly, it is the house of the president.

Don’t you think that it is enough? Come on! It won’t be the same house that you or I live in, right? 330-acre land, all yours to explore. Yes, you have read it right. You might not know, but Rashtrapati Bhavan is not about the rooms or the gardens.

It is more about the museum and the guard ceremony. Each circuit has its own beauty. I don’t think that any other country provides their people to see these things at just rupees 30.

Yup, only 30 rupees per circuit, and you can visit the entire Rashtrapati Bhavan, the rooms, garden, museum, everything.

But what is there to see? This is something that I’m going to tell you. You will be surprised to know about this. So, keep reading.

Rashtrapati Bhavan: Each Circuit

There are 3 circuits in the Rashtrapati Bhavan. The first circuit includes the core of Rashtrapati Bhavan. It means the rooms: the guest house (Italian Pm is staying there now), the president’s office, and many more. There are 340 rooms.

The second circuit includes the museum. Yes, the president’s house has its own museum for the people to cherish the rich history of India. No worries, it is not like the typical boring museums. You will enjoy it.

The third circuit is about the garden. Yes, a big, very big garden. Do you know that the majority of the land is the garden only? Yup, only a small part of the land is dedicated to the Bhavan.

No worries, it looks exactly the same as the pictures on google. I’ve been there, so I know.

What Else Can You see?

Don’t miss the guard ceremony. Oh, you don’t know about it? No worries, let me explain it to you then. So, to maintain the decorum and make it fresh, the guards are changed through a ceremony.

You can check the times and days on the internet and book your tickets according to that. Remember, it stays open for visitors 4 days a week, that is, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Not all the circuits are open for visitors. Different days are allocated to different circuits. So, you need to check on which day you will be able to see the entire Bhavan and then book the tickets.

The timings are 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Final Words

Have you ever visited Purana Qila? It gives the old and historical vibes, right? President’s house gives the same vibes but with a touch of freshness. You will feel like you are traveling in time.

From 1911 to 2023. It would be an out-of-the-world experience. Trust me!
