Omaxe Receives Rs 500 Crore from Oaktree to Boost Project

Omaxe has secured Rs 500 crore in funding from Oaktree Capital to boost its construction plans. The company will use the funds to speed up projects in New Chandigarh, Lucknow, and Faridabad, while also supporting public-private partnership initiatives.

The funding comes as Omaxe strengthens its finances. Over the past two years, it repaid Rs 1,285 crore to lenders and reduced its debt to Rs 300 crore. This lower debt shows that Omaxe is ready to expand operations.

Oaktree Capital, a global investment manager with expertise in alternative investments, has chosen to partner with Omaxe. The partnership reflects investor confidence in Omaxe’s long-term plans.

Omaxe will use the capital to fast-track housing and office projects, complete ongoing developments, and advance large-scale initiatives in Ludhiana, Dwarka, Amritsar, and Indore. A major township in Amritsar highlights its focus on important urban growth areas.

The company has already delivered more than 140 million square feet of projects across 31 cities in eight states. Its sales performance also shows momentum, with property sales crossing Rs 3,000 crore in FY 2025. These strong cash flows give Omaxe the capacity to pursue new developments.

The partnership with Oaktree will help Omaxe finish projects faster, grow in new cities, and reduce exposure to market shifts. The company’s leadership believes this funding will support its long-term goals and create value for both stakeholders and customers.

With rising demand for quality housing and office spaces in urban India, this investment will strengthen Omaxe’s role in real estate growth. The Rs 500 crore infusion is both a financial boost and a clear vote of confidence in the company’s future.
