NDA Promises One Crore Jobs in Bihar Elections Manifesto

The NDA promises one crore jobs in Bihar as part of its ambitious plan for the upcoming assembly elections. On Friday, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) released its election manifesto in Patna. It outlined major goals to create employment, boost infrastructure, empower women, and modernize industries. The event included Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, BJP president JP Nadda, Union ministers Jitan Ram Manjhi and Chirag Paswan, and RLM chief Upendra Kushwaha.

BJP’s Bihar chief Dilip Jaiswal praised the manifesto. He called it a “guarantee of development” from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a symbol of trust in CM Nitish Kumar’s leadership. He also compared the unity of alliance partners to the “Pandavas” from the Mahabharata. According to him, the people of Bihar believe in PM Modi and CM Nitish Kumar but blame the opposition for past setbacks.

Moreover, the manifesto focuses on five key areas. These include job creation, better education, infrastructure expansion, women empowerment, and healthcare improvement. It presents clear, measurable promises aimed at transforming Bihar’s economy and social structure.

Key highlights include:

  • Creating 1 crore jobs through government and private opportunities.
  • Setting up Mega Skill Centres in every district to train youth for global industries.
  • Building 10 industrial parks and one factory in each district.
  • Launching 100 MSME parks and 50,000 cottage industries.
  • Establishing chipset, semiconductor, and manufacturing hubs for the IT sector.
  • Starting a Women Employment Scheme to benefit 22 lakh women and develop 1 crore Lakhpati Didis.
  • Raising the Kisan Samman Nidhi from ₹6,000 to ₹9,000 yearly.
  • Guaranteeing Minimum Support Price (MSP) for all crops.
  • Investing ₹9 lakh crore in infrastructure, including roads, housing, and railways.
  • Providing 50 lakh new homes, 125 free electricity units, and continued ration support.
  • Developing seven expressways and 3,600 km of new rail lines.
  • Constructing airports in Patna, Darbhanga, Purnia, and Bhagalpur, plus metros in four cities.
  • Opening new medical colleges and a medical city to improve healthcare access.

Furthermore, Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke at a rally in Samastipur. He assured that the NDA’s five-party alliance would focus on Bihar’s rapid growth. Shah also warned against the return of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), describing it as “jungle raj.” He said, “This election gives us a chance to free Bihar from misrule. NDA’s victory is certain.”

The economic focus of the manifesto directly counters the Mahagathbandhan’s job promise. So, the NDA hopes its combination of job creation, social welfare, and industrial growth will appeal to voters. Bihar’s elections will be held in two phases,on November 6 and November 11. The results will be declared on November 14.

Experts note that this plan targets both youth and farmers. They believe that, if implemented well, it could raise Bihar’s economic growth rate, which is still among India’s lowest. Additionally, analysts say the NDA’s focus on women’s empowerment and modern infrastructure could help bridge urban-rural gaps.

In conclusion, the NDA promises one crore jobs in Bihar not only as a campaign pledge but also as a long-term roadmap for prosperity. However, with consistent policies, investment, and leadership, the alliance aims to build a stronger and more developed Bihar.
