OS DAV Public School, Kaithal Hosts DAV Sports Competition

OS DAV Public School in Kaithal, Haryana, recently became the center of excitement as Kaithal hosts the DAV sports competition. The two-day event was organized under the DAV Managing Committee, New Delhi, and brought together 42 teams from across Haryana. Students displayed their energy and skill in sports like table tennis, badminton, and yoga, making the event a grand success.

In table tennis, the Boys U-19 category ended with DAV Police Public School, Sector-49, Faridabad, taking the first prize. OS DAV Public School secured second place, while DAV Thermal Panipat finished third. In the Boys U-17 category, OS DAV Public School emerged as champions. They repeated their success by winning the Boys U-14 category too.

The girls’ competition was equally engaging. In the U-19 table tennis category, DAV Public School, Sector-14, Faridabad, secured first position. DAV Public School, Sector-37, Faridabad, stood second, while the host school achieved third place.

Yoga also played a big role in the event. OS DAV Public School took the Boys U-19 yoga title. For Girls U-19, DAV Public School, Sector-49 Gurugram, earned the top spot, followed by DAV Public School Bhiwani and OS DAV Public School. The host school impressed again by winning top positions in the Girls U-14 and U-17 categories.

The event ended with a valedictory ceremony filled with pride and applause. Principal Anju Talwar congratulated the winners for their dedication and encouraged them to perform well in the national-level competitions ahead.

Sports have always been important in this region, as Haryana and Punjab share a strong athletic tradition. The DAV school network continues to nurture young talent by encouraging students to participate in inter-school and state-level events.
