Hauz Khas Fort

Hauz Khas Fort Delhi – Insider’s Guide on How to Visit?

Posted on March 23, 2023

Hauz Khas Fort Delhi is one of those places where you can easily spend an entire business day. Going there was the best that has ever happened in my life. I love how people are going there with cameras, wearing their most beautiful outfits.

Soon, it will become a pre-wedding photoshoot destination. So, the situation was like this –  I got an extra paid leave, and I was exhausted. I didn’t want to stay at home, but I also didn’t want to go to a crowded place.

Though the amusement parks in Delhi or other historical places were good options to choose from, I wanted a calm and serene place. But I also didn’t want to go to a small place.

Yes, I wanted to make the most out of my day. Therefore I chose Hauz Khas Fort Delhi. I think it was the best gift that I could have ever given to myself.

Nope! I’m not going to talk about who built it or how it got ruined. Everybody knows that. It was Khilji who built it, and Tughlaq kind of renovated it.

The fort was built because of the Hauz Khas lake, which was built for the water supply in the city of Siri. Oh my god, I’m again telling the story.  Focus! Focus!

How Can You Visit the Place?

It’s simple; all you need to do is just take the Delhi metro. The magenta line and get down at the I.T.I metro station. It’s pretty close from there. I know it sounds overwhelming now, but the simple way to reach there is by Delhi metro.

After reaching there, you just need to buy the tickets that only cost 20 rupees. The place opens at 7 am and closes at 7 pm. Yessss! Just like the office.

Furthermore, Hauz Khas Fort is not about the lake or the fort only. There are other beautiful things too. The Madrasa and the mosque are must-see places.

It does not matter whether you will go alone or with your friends, the time that you will spend there will be astonishing, trust me. The fort is damaged, and the beauty lies there only.

You know, what you can do best is make reels or videos. The greenery and the lake water will take you back in time. So, be ready for time travel.

Wrapping Up

I have a bonus for youuu! Haha! Have you heard of Humayun’s Tomb? Do you know the history? Read it a little bit because you might go there right after you finish visiting Hauz Khas. Yes, it’s one of the nearby places.

That place is also peaceful and untouched. I know maintenance is needed to keep these historical places intact, but it should be minimal; the art time does to them is just indescribable.

You can try it yourself, why don’t you write your own experience? People would love to read something that only you will explore.
