On a busy Wednesday night, a fall from Ghaziabad Flyover injures four young friends after they sneaked out for a late-night ride. The boys, aged between 16 and 18, had left their homes in Islam Nagar to visit the Ghanta Ghar market for fast food. They were riding together on one motorbike, but the ride ended in tragedy.
Around 11:45 PM, while returning home, the boys fell from the Thakurdwara flyover. This two-lane flyover connects Ghanta Ghar to the New Bus Adda on GT Road. The fall was from a height of nearly 18 to 20 feet, which made the injuries serious.
Police said the bike lost balance, though the exact reason remains unclear. It might have been due to an approaching vehicle or some other factor. All four boys fell off the bridge and suffered injuries. Locals nearby rushed quickly and shifted them to the MMG District Hospital located across the road.
Station House Officer Manoj Kumar said, “The exact cause is still not clear. One boy is admitted here, while the families of the other three have taken them elsewhere for treatment.” He added that their families are focused on immediate medical care rather than the investigation.
Family members described the incident as shocking. Mohammad Wahid, the brother of one of the injured boys, explained, “My brother silently took out the bike, and all four went out for fun. At 11:45 PM, the bike slipped off the flyover. He has a fracture in his thigh. We are still trying to decide where to take him for the best treatment.”
The other three boys, all minors aged 16 to 17, were moved to different hospitals. Their families remain anxious as they search for better medical care. The accident has left the entire community in worry and grief.
