Delhi University Admissions for the 2025-26 academic year are almost full. Out of 71,624 undergraduate seats across 79 programs in 69 colleges, 71,130 have already been filled. The numbers came after the third round of the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS), showing the strong demand for courses at one of India’s top universities.
Among the admitted students, 34,069 chose to upgrade their options, while 35,889 froze their allotments. A total of 5,930 students successfully upgraded to preferred courses or colleges. These figures show how competitive the admission process remains each year. Delhi University’s wide variety of programs continues to attract thousands of applicants, including many from Mohali and Chandigarh. Ranked 12th among Indian universities in the 2023 QS World University Rankings, the university remains a top choice.
The Mid-Entry window will open on August 8 at 5 PM and close on August 10 at 4:59 PM. This phase gives another chance to students who missed earlier rounds, faced application issues, or submitted incorrect documents. Candidates must pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 1,000 and correct any errors before applying. The list of available seats will also be released on August 8.
Students who received seat allotments must accept them and pay their fees by August 7. Missing the deadline will result in canceled seats. Meanwhile, colleges are verifying documents and processing payments to complete the admission process.
After the Mid-Entry phase, the next seat allocation list will come out on August 13. Special categories such as Music, BFA, Physical Education, Children of War Widows, ECA, Sports, and Ward quota will have their first list published on August 15. The entire admission process will end on August 19, and the university will not accept any new applications after that.
Delhi University began its undergraduate academic session on August 1, following UGC guidelines. Applications from Punjab and other northern states remain high, showing the appeal of CSAS in making the process fair and transparent. The system helps students aim for their preferred colleges with more clarity and less confusion.
Aspiring students should track all notifications, deadlines, and seat lists carefully. Delhi University Admissions are a valuable opportunity for those seeking quality education at a prestigious institution. Finishing the process on time can secure a place and set the stage for a successful academic journey.
