Instead of calling for help, the group placed his body in a car. Additionally, they drove around for some time before deciding to dispose of the body. Eventually, they dumped it in the forest near Surajkund in neighboring Faridabad.

Investigation and Arrests

Vikas’s family filed a missing person report at Govindpuri police station on December 8. Consequently, police formed a special team to trace his movements. They analyzed mobile phone records and CCTV footage, which provided crucial leads.

Investigators discovered that Vikas was last seen with Vishal Rai on the night of December 6-7. Therefore, police detained Rai for questioning. During interrogation, he confessed to the crime and revealed details about what happened that night.

Arrested Suspects:

  • Vishal Rai (28) – First to be apprehended

Evidence Tampering

The accused attempted to cover their tracks by destroying evidence. Specifically, Rahul Bidhuri, the fourth suspect still absconding, allegedly broke a CCTV camera that captured the fight. Moreover, they removed the CCTV Digital Video Recorder (DVR) from the locality.

However, police successfully traced and recovered the DVR. Additionally, they recovered Vikas’s car and body from the locations identified by the accused during questioning.

Ongoing Investigation

Police continue searching for Rahul Bidhuri, who remains at large. According to reports, both Rahul and Keshav are related to a former member of Parliament. Furthermore, preliminary verification shows that Rai and Praveen have multiple past involvements in criminal cases.

Authorities are making continuous efforts to locate and arrest the absconding suspect. Meanwhile, the three arrested men face charges of murder and tampering with evidence.

The case of the Delhi man killed after fight highlights how a simple argument can escalate into tragedy when alcohol and unresolved disputes combine.
