Furthermore, sources said the EcoSport belongs to Dr. Umar Nabi, who is suspected of driving the Hyundai i20 that exploded near the Red Fort. Officers also think he used the EcoSport for surveillance.
At the same time, investigators uncovered a “white-collar terror module.” This network is linked to Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind. It operates across Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. Because of this, the case now appears more widespread and more dangerous.
During a major raid, police seized 2,900 kg of explosives and arrested eight people, including three doctors from Al-Falah University. Their arrest shocked many residents since it shows educated people may also support violent groups. Soon after the arrests, a high-intensity blast hit the crowded Red Fort metro station and created panic.
Later, DNA tests showed that Dr. Umar was inside the Hyundai i20 during the blast. This finding increased police confidence that he played a key role. Additionally, officers visited Al-Falah University and the home of Dr. Muzammil Ganaie. They questioned students and staff to find clues about the group’s plans.
